All my homies hate META. My friend Brandon said that when I broke the news.
I have been posting multiple times a week across several Instagram and Facebook pages since I was 12. I invested in m.joy, mayaheemayahaa, and designsbymjoy with my passion for photography and videography. I never thought to think about how quick everything in the digital realm can be taken away, with one hack or forgotten password or in my case, a faulty AI flag.
I received an email that my account was suspended (may I just add, for child exploitation???? I think I was flagged for dming my little cousin). I immediately appealed but was denied just as fast, receiving notice that the decision is permanent. All my pages were linked through the accounts center and were banned all together. I have no access to thousands of memories.
Okay sob story I know. I can now be mysteriously off the grid and start from scratch. However, I am an oversharer at heart. In fact, this event is why I started this blog.
UPDATE: I got my accounts back! My dad’s friend at META helped me put in an internal appeal.
